If not completely satisfied, we gladly accept returns and exchanges.  We just ask that you reach out to us first to trouble-shoot any issues you may be having with candle performance.   All returns and exchanges are excepted within 14 days of your purchase.  Any shipping costs, unfortunately, are at your expense.  

We hand pour our candles in small batches and hold one candle back to test burn in our shop or home.  We typically perform what we call "power burns", where we light the candle and just let it burn!  We place the candle in a safe, visible, and supervised place and allow it to burn all day, keeping a close eye on it.  We watch for flame behavior, melt pool of wax, and fragrance throw.  We also check the temperature of the jar to ensure it is  not getting too hot to touch.  To veer on the safer side, we tend to use smaller/cooler burning wicks which do require longer burn times.  Recommended burn times vary from 2-3 hours (depending on the diameter of the jar) to prevent the wax from tunneling.  An ideal candle, as we view it,  will be fragrant enough to notice but not force you outside for fresh air and for the wick to maintain a calm and serene flame no more than about 1/2" tall.  We like to see the wax melt across the top (melt pool) of the candle at about a rate of 1" per hour.   For example, a 2" diamete jar should take approximately 2hrs to reach its full melt pool.   We choose centrally located and non-drafty areas to test and burn our candles.
